Does anyone here know where their food actually comes from anymore?

Genuine question for the block: how many of you know where your food actually grows now? I moved out to the terrace farms last spring and half the city thinks lettuce comes from a vending slot. When the standpipe fails you notice in an hour. When the grow-towers fail we'll notice in a week and by then it's a month too late.

That week of delay is exactly what scares me, Wren. Water fails loud, food fails quiet. We've built a city that can only feel emergencies that arrive on the same day. Anything slower than a headline, we sleep right through until it's at the door.

Wren, the towers run off the same droopy feeder spine I was ranting about in the fusion thread. So it's not two problems, it's one: everything that keeps us alive is downstream of wires nobody wants to pay to fix. Food, water, the pumps, the ports. All of it. One tired line.
