Q-Net Backbone Carries Record Traffic Without a Single Breach

SINGAPORE — The quantum-secured backbone carried its heaviest month of traffic on record without a logged key compromise, the Singapore Institute reported Sunday, a milestone measured in reliability rather than spectacle. Dr. Wei-Lin Tan, who demonstrated a million-qubit processor over the same backbone in September, was careful to correct a common misreading: "The entanglement secures the channel — it does not carry the message faster than light. There is no quantum telephone." The volume surge, she said, came from corridor logistics and relief coordination, as Hearth Relief International routed shelter data for a migrant count now past 124 million across widening heat corridors. Network lead Arun Pillai, monitoring throughput from the Institute's operations floor, said the load "would have buckled a classical trust model." The backbone did not buckle. In a season of loud anxieties, its record is a quiet one.
