Fusion Holds Near a Third of the Grid as Corridor Demand Climbs — The Lost Archive, 2124

RECONNECTED GRID CONTROL, LAGOS — Fusion supplied a little under a third of the reconnected global grid through the past week, Aurora Fusion Works said Sunday, roughly the share it has held since its Antarctic-rival's shadow last shifted the market in August. The figure — about 30 percent — is steady; the load beneath it is not. Aurora chief executive Emeka Okonkwo said corridor demand, not industry, is the fastest-growing draw: "The camps that Hearth Relief runs need cold storage, pumps, chargers. That is baseload, and baseload is what fusion is for." Grid operators in three Sahel intake zones reported peak loads up by a fifth since spring, met without rationing. At one Passage Trust camp outside Agadez, night-shift technician Fatou Barry watched a bank of reactor-fed batteries hold the lights steady over a thousand tents. "When the grid was coal, this went dark by ten," she said. "Now it does not."
