Quantum-Infrastructure Names Firm as the Singapore Run Approaches
A brief on where the money moved: hardware makers rally, water indices flat, fusion steady.

LONDON — Ahead of tomorrow's Singapore demonstration, the Cerulean Exchange did what markets do best on the eve of a scheduled marvel: it bought the anticipation. Quantum-infrastructure names — the hardware makers, the lattice and interconnect firms that sell the picks and shovels of the qubit age — rallied through the week on volume, traders positioning for a demonstration whose success the boards have all but pre-declared. Quanta Lattice Systems led the move. Fusion held steady, the summer's peak now safely behind it; water indices sat flat as the corridor-city desalination costs paused their climb for a week. Augmentation biotech stayed frozen, still waiting on Brazil's ballot to unlock it. "The market loves a date on a calendar," one desk head said. "It can price a demonstration. It cannot price a decade — but a demonstration will do for this week." The caution, as always, is in the phrase "for this week." A run that goes to plan is already in the price. A run that surprises — either way — is not.
