Aurora Fusion Works, whose baseload reactors and building-scale units carry a growing share of the grid, makes the case for distribution: many small fusion sources, close to where the power is used, resilient because there is no single point to fail. Kronos Energy Syndicate, whose quantum-mining operations anchor a different model, argues for concentration: fewer, larger sources feeding a hardened backbone. "This is a disagreement about architecture, not about whether the century gets powered," Aurora chief executive Emeka Okonkwo said at an Oslo energy forum, careful — as both firms are — to keep the rivalry to the record and off the personal.
