"Entanglement secures the channel; it does not speak through it," said Dr. Wei-Lin Tan of the Singapore Institute, who fields the confusion in nearly every public talk she gives. The quantum layer distributes an unbreakable key; the actual words still travel the ordinary classical network, no faster than light has ever allowed.
